Knit These Slimline Undies

  • This all-in-one cami-knicker pattern was originally published in the early 1930's and whilst it is an extremely practical under-garment, it is also extremely glamorous. The front and back pieces are knitted sepaately commencing with the legs and gusset. Short row shaping is added at the back for a comfortable fit. Ribbing is worked at the waist before the upper body is knitted, finishing with a delightful lace panel. The side seams are sewn together before matching lace cuffs are added to the legs then a press stud gusset opening is sewn into place. Finally ribbon is used for the delicate strap and is also threaded through the top of the lace bodice for decoration.

Knit These Slimline Undies is knitted using Susan Crawford Perle fingering weight, a luxurious blend of cashmere and silk - perfect for wearing next to the skin. We used the shade Audrey, hand-dyed in-house by Susan and her team.

Our model Miranda is shown wearing the second size to fit 86-92 cm (34-36 in) chest.

The pattern includes instructions for four sizes to fit chest measurements between 76cm (30in) and 112cm (44in) and contains clear written instructions plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart.
