Concentrate On The Sleeves

  • Concentrate On The Sleeves is a dramatic, show-stopper of a sweater, with an unusual bodice and impactful, three-dimensional sleeves. The lower body begins with a deep ribbed section to create a nipped in silhouette, the upper bodice opening is divided asymmetrically, with a button fastening to one side. The dramatic 'leg-of-mutton' sleeves also commence with a long ribbed section before the complex sleeve head construction is worked. The entire garment is knitted in separate flat pieces, and the upper body pieces and sleeve heads are worked in garter stitch enabling full concentration to be focussed on the highly original shaping. Once all the pieces are completed, the garment is sewn together, with additional structure added inside the sleeves to help maintain its shape.

Concentrate On The Sleeves is knitted using Susan Crawford Wold DK, an exclusive blend of the wool of three British sheep breeds known for their beautiful fleeces, Southdown, Bluefaced Leicester and Shetland, creating a fabulously soft yarn with bounce and spring. Concentrate On The Sleeves is shown here in shade Forest Green.

Our model Fleur is shown wearing the third size.
